Price of SIM Card

Hi all,

I am getting ready to move my line to PM along with another family member.  I bought a SIM card online from PM store and it cost me $10 each, with free shipping.  Today, as I was browsing around, I find out that the SIM cards are now $5 each!  I am surprised and, as I have not yet received my SIM cards in the mail, i wondered how I can get the price adjusted on that?  Thank you.

Nothing wrong with having a couple of extra SIM cards around, some of us always keep a few on hand to give to potential referrals to PM. So I would contact the Moderators telling them that your SIM card is apparently lost in the mail and ask if they can they just resend you two SIM cards (or maybe you already ordered two so You need 4 as replacement) now that they are half price.

i didn't see a promotion, and just kinda stumbled upon it, to my dismay :'(

Another case of a promotion with nothing about it pinned to the announcement area, no email or text received about it....

Was there a topic bout it started here on the community that I missed?

@AE_Collector There's this posting from Aug 10 regarding $5 PM SIM cards for sale on Amazon: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Getting-Started/SIM-card-deal-on-Amazon/m-p/577853

Price change on PM site was likely done around the same time.

Depending on when you ordered and when this special started, I would be inclined to try talking to a moderator, especially if it has been quite awhile waiting for it to arrive. Maybe they will send you two more rather than refund you for the two at $10. Then you can use them to help friends get set up which generates a $10 one time credit for them and $1 a month credit per friend for you.

@AE_Collector PM is selling the SIM cards for $5 right now (for limited time of course).

@rtautjo

Are SIM cards back on sale For $5 at Public Mobile Like they were about 6 months ago OR were you reading about an old expired promotion here on the Community?

<edit> Just went and took a look and sure enough, they are back to $5. Does anyone know when this happened and if it is publicized as a temporary promotion or if it is a new price until further notice?

Hi @rtautjo

In the long run, you will end up saving $$$ with Public Mobile.
My only regret is not knowing about PM earlier and switching.

Now that you know about the less expensive SIM card options, you can get more family & friends to sign-up.

Make sure they use your referral code and you'll save even more.

I suppose that it's a done deal, huh.  That's irksome.  Thanks for your reply.

@rtautjo If it all that news makes you mad Walmart usually gives you a free sim if you sign up there and I bet soon as you sign up they will have a big bonus for new activations lol

Some are free on Craigslist and some are 99 cents on eBay too.

Once you've paid it...I doubt you'll get a price adjustment from PM.

@rtautjo PM is prepaid there are no refunds. It's the luck of the draw. They aren't going to give you your $5 back and if they raise the price $15 charge you $5 more. I think it's $2.99 each currently if you order from Canadian Cell Supplies. https://canadiancellsupplies.com/collections/latest-products/products/public-sim-card
