I understand that when wanting to port my number from PC Mobile to PM that I first have to activate my PM SIM card with a new number, then request my PCM number be ported over. How long does this take?

You will need to submit a ticket to get a moderator to assist with the port. Also you need to keep your PC mobile account opening during porting.
You would need moderator assistance. Here is the link to create a ticket through SIMon: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help -> Click on Chat with Simon on the line "ask me something" write "moderator" -> then click on "account specific question" -> afterward click on "no, I want a human" -> finally you will see an answer "submit a ticket Click me!"

Can OP bypass the moderator by porting at activation as outlined in the Announcements.

@gfawley when you are ready to port, to contact a moderato, click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen. Type "Port Request " and follow the prompts to get to one. The actual porting should be complete within 2.5 hours. However, the wait for a moderator to start the process needs to be taken into account. A moderator could respond to you in a few minutes, or it might take a day or two.
