Plan changes

I am new to PM and noticed that the monthly plans change prices frequently . When you are on a plan are you locked in it for as long as you like?

@Pwr123, the best way to explain it is this:

Recently, the Legacy and Pioneer members were notified in late January or early February that their locked in plans would be ending on March 17th.  This announcement satisfies the requirements of the Terms of Service (link at the bottom of this (and every page of Public Mobile), and they were forced to make a plan change to something then current and in-market.

Same idea as mentioned above about the Fall 2016 Promo.  February last year, Public Mobile announced a $30 increase over our 90-day period to happen more than 30 days in the future, and we had the option to accept the increase or change to a different plan or carrier as we as individuals deemed fit.  In this case, however, there was such a backlash, the increase was rescinded, and we're still locked into our 2016 promo deal.

Nothing is truly locked in, but chances are you'll have a plan you like for a long time if you wish to keep it.

@Pwr123 You can change your plan whenever you want. If you choose to change your plan you will be given a choice to do it immediately or have it automatically change on your next renewal date, if you change it immediately you will have to have the funds for the cost of the new plan in your account, and you will forfeit the rest of the time for your current plan, even if it was only renewed days before.

Also, if a new deal comes out, like a bonus 500MB data if you have autopay you will have to change plans to get the new deal, you won't get it automatically even if your plan is otherwise identical. For example, say you have the $35 plan with 1 GB data and no bonus, and a new deal comes out with 500MB bonus, to get the bonus you need to change to the new $35 plan.
