I would be curious to know what kind of success rate users have contacting mods for this kind of thing. These posts come up fairly often with replies that you have to contact a mod for a refund. But does that actually work? Hopefully the original poster replies with what happened.

Offficial policy is no refunds for purchased services.  You'll have to hope that the moderators can make an exception for you but they really don't have to.

You can see if a moderator can credit your account, but ask nice !! There are no refunds and PM doesn't have to refund because of your error.
