Pay as you go

Hello all, hopefully someone in the community can give an answer to this complicated question.

If someone is currently using a pay as you go card to top up their monthly use, and has no access to a computer, and no computer skills, how can they keep using Public Mobility if all the kiosks are being closed and there is no telephone service/help ?

Is there an option to use an android app to put new cards into their account?  That is about the only way I can think to do this.

Thanks!  🙂

Thanks for your answer.  They are an existing public mobile customer.  I just realized they can still buy payment vouchers and apply them using *611 to their account.

Cheers!

Are you saying they're currently on prepaid/pay as you go with another carrier, and you're insterested in moving them over to Public Mobile?

With Public Mobile, the initial activation can be done online or at a retalier.  You can purchase vouchers and load them up, or setup autopay.  If they have access to a computer to start out (ie. you can help them) they could setup autopay, and they won't have to worry about topping up, since it will happen automatically.  Just choose a plan that suits their usage in term of talk/text/data.

Public Mobile SIM cards can be purchased online or at one of the following retailers:

The Mobile Shop (inside Loblaws, Superstore, Zehrs)
Wow! Mobile boutique
London Drugs
K Mobile
Walmart

Hope this helps.

PM is a DIY provider.  But you are not do it by yourself.

It will be hard to get support without computer and mobile phone skill.

@glennman44  - if there is no access to computers, then the only way to pay/top up is to use vouchers that ARE available at retail locations.  As for kiosks, Public Mobile is not closing any kiosks.  There are no Public Mobile kiosks.  However, they WILL be opening some this year.  If you are referring to the call center - that is available to legacy customers only - until tomorrow, then yes, that is being shut down.  If a person with no computer access needs support, they will need help from someone who does have computer access.

Remember, Public Mobile is different.  It is not for everyone.
