By "Old", do you mean "Closed" or "Deactivated"? If so, then you can't.

You'll have to activate the SIM and create a brand new account, with another email address if PM doesn't let you use the old one.

If Old just means Existing but still Active, then log in to your self-serve account and proceed to Change the SIM card (under Plan and Add-Ons tab)..

@bowlesdr

IF you mean this SIM card has been in suspended, non-pay status for over 90 days, THEN, you cannot reuse this SIM it is unusable.

You will need to obtain a new SIM (which you did already...)and activate a new account, if this is the case.

 @bowlesdr : If you can successfully log in to your account then you can use the Change SIM function. If you haven't paid in over 4 months then your account has likely deactivated.

@bowlesdr

You can log into your Self Serve account and go to My Profile>Change SIM Card.

Or just create a new account with a different email address.

@bowlesdr   You can still login to your account?

If so, simple click on Change SIM card , enter the SIM number and select the 2FA method, likely via email in your case.

you can get more info from here:

And yes, if you are unable to logon and you know that the account has not been paid for over 3 months, then you cannot re-use the old account.  You will have to reactivate with a new phone number

Has your old account been inactive for more then 90 days ?  If it has then you need to setup a new account.  If it is still active then  you can change the sim.

Change Your SIM Card

the SIM change functionality has been re-enabled in My Account, now with an additional security step: 2 factor authentication to further protect against SIM card fraud.In order to change the SIM card associated with your account, you must now verify your request through a one-time security code that will be sent via SMS or email.To change your SIM card, please follow the below steps:

  1. Log into your My Account
  2. Go to Plan and Add-Ons > Change SIM Card
  3. Enter your new SIM card number
  4. Select where you would like your 6-digit security verification code to be sent to. You can choose to have the code sent to your email, or via SMS to your phone number. If you do not have access to your phone or cannot receive SMS, please select the email option.
  5. Check your email or phone for your security code, and input the code into the page
  6. Click “Verify Code”

Please note: after 5 failed attempts to verify your security code, your account will be locked, and you will need to have your account unlocked and your SIM card manually updated by an agent by submitting a ticket link Here,.

  1. Once you have verified your code, click “submit” to complete your SIM card change, and you’re all set !!

and Reboot your phone.

what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone about 2 minutes and turn it back on.
