Number port unsuccessful

I'm trying to port my number from Fongo to Public Mobile. On my phone settings I can see the number being ported. However, I cannot receive any SMS text messages or receive phone calls at this number.

 @ayemay : So you have a currently active Fongo service. You have a currently active Public Mobile service. You tried to port in your Fongo number to here. But then this place is saying there's a problem.

 

And are you possibly talking about the erroneous message that has been sent today from here? Maybe it's coincidental.

I am having the exact same issue and I just received a message from Public Mobile telling me that my old number appears to be inactive. Which it is not, because I can call the number and it will ring through my Fongo app. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do at this point - do I continue waiting, even though I received a message saying that the port was unsuccessful? Someone please help me, this is my small business phone and I can't continue having disruptions.

Porting a landline or VoIP number will take up to 1 week or longer.

Depending on how long you have your Fongo number, you may need to pay a fee to port it out.  Read the Fongo requirements for details.

Please be patient, even though it will take some time its worth, it becoming a Public Mobile costumer, in the mean, time can you, you borrow a phone, until port is complete.

@wwdz2428  voip providers take up to 7 days for the port to complete. The fact that you can make calls and send messages from your PM phone says that the port is in progress. Use your Fongo service until it stops. Stay safe.

@wwdz2428 Porting from a VoIP app can take days, Usually 3 days before the number is fully ported over. You can continue to use your fongo phone to make and recive calls in the meantime.
