That's why I asked about it earlier, because I've seen 2 weeks mentioned several times on these forums, but then this thread came along, and we're getting conflicting info.

The CWTA says 2 business days. https://www.cwta.ca/for-consumers/wireless-number-portability/#9

Re: No incoming call or SMS and MMS

Landline ports can take upto a week to complete.

Edit : When you transfer a landline number, the process can take up to 3 business days

Are you sure you provided the correct porting info account name and account number?

Re: No incoming call or SMS and MMS

@golam Did you port your landline number? Ports from landlines can take up to 2 weeks to complete. It could also be stuck.  Since its already  been 9 days, then you  can either contact a moderator and explain your situation.  Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen.  This connects to the autobot Simon . Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one.  (CLICK on account specific question and human and submit a ticket )

Or contact the Telus porting department at 1 877 868 3587

Re: No incoming call or SMS and MMS

@golam  Did you port you landline to Public Mobile? If yes landline ports can take up to two weeks to complete. You won't be able to receive calls or texts until your port is 100% complete so you need to be patient.

Did you port you landline number to PM?

If yes, porting landline number will take about 1 week to complete.  It is up to your landline provider to release your landline number to PM.  You will continue to get yout incoming calls to your landline until your landline provider release your number to PM.

Re: No incoming call or SMS and MMS

Ok then, it seems like some further clarification is in order here - this thread has four replies about porting a landline, two of which say it takes about a week to complete, and two that say it can take up to two weeks! Does anybody KNOW the correct answer here, and if so, would you kindly let us all know.

Re: No incoming call or SMS and MMS

I have not seen any real rules about that. I think, usually, it takes couple days.

@mimmo  Did that information in the help pages change recently? It was to my understanding that most landline phone numbers being ported in can be completed within 72 hours but can on occasion take up to 2 weeks to complete.

@golam  From what the help pages are saying your port should have been completed by now. Submit a ticket via simon to the moderators so they can complete the port for you. If access to your pm account is not necessary to fix it and you need full services you may be able to speed up the process by calling the telus porting department  and have them complete it. If account access is needed they will at least be able to give you a status report while you wait to be contacted by a moderator.
