Since you got a new PM phone number. Try powering off the phone then power up the phone.

In your wifi setting, re-enter password.

@BKNS27 , wondered about that one too.

Guessing OP meant data didn't work, not wi-fi.  Good on you to address that, though!

Check your self-serve to see if account status is showing as ACTIVE.

Check your payment card to make sure payment processed to Public Mobile.

Does 'Public Mobile' carrier show on top left of phone display screen?

If yes to all, won't be long!!!  (hoping you have a compatible phone... check here,  https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-started)

no text, no wifi.. but no worry

activation usually quick . .but lately it might be late a bit.. take at much as  an hour or so

just make sure SIM is inserted tight..  keep rebooting your phone every 15 mins

.. and not sure if you are porting your number from another provider.. if so, the porting can take 2 to 4 hours.

Is your phone unlocked?

Try:

-rebooting phone

-reset network settings

-take SIM card out. Put back in and reboot

-put in airplane mode for a few minutes. Take off and reboot.
