My phone could not receive one-time verification code from CIBC (whether desktop login or App lgin). I have never had this problem with Fido. Just ported my number from FIDO to PM.
I restarted my phone twice. Still no luck.
Anybody knows why?
@jamesace2008 As a security measure many banks will not allow a verification code to be sent to a different network provider for 48 hours to protect against sim jacking. That is why criminals are using SIM swapping to circumvent this measure.
@jamesace2008 just wait for a few days and ty again. Also, what is your area code? If it is new, like 672 - not all companies support it yet, so calls/sms may be missing from them. Happened to me with TD. In the end, I changed my phone number to the one with an old area code. No issues after that.
