Using a ZTE Axon 7. It's duo sim, and my Freedom mobile SIM is work on it right now.

New activation, getting no bars on my Public Mobile sim card

Tried manually doing APN, restart the phone, system wipe the phone, tried different sim card slots.
inbound, outbound, data, even 611 is not working.

Is this a faulty sim card?

This is the $149 phone everybody on RFD was talking about right?

That and the $39 USD Moto E4 have been all the rage lately for cheaper phone options.

Almost, the phone for $149 is the Axon 7 mini. Which isn't spec'd quite as well as the regular.

Turns out per moderator there was a glitch in activation. They've submitted a ticket for back end issue. Thanks for all your help guys!

Hi guys,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Tried working with only the Public Mobile sim card on both slots.
Tried manually doing APN per instruction.
New Public Mobile number
My phone is a ZTE 2017U according to the about phone. Bought it on Newegg.ca and they do have a Canadian HQ. It's worked on Rogers and Freedom Mobile before.

I suggest for troubleshooting, try with only the public mobile SIM card installed.  Add the second SIM card after you get this service working.

@Mr-Bump

Doesn't sound like a stuck port as @Peterium appears to be getting no network connection at all.

@Peterium, can you also try removing your Freedom SIM and just putting the PM SIM in one of the SIM slots!?!

Was the number ported over, or is this a new number? Sometimes porting a number can take a while; how long has it been like this?

@Peterium

Checked your phone on willmyphonework.net and I got this result, so it isn't a network issue if you are using either of the two sub-brands listed:1.JPG

Just confirm the sub-brand to be sure we're talking about the right phone.

As your account is showing "active" in self-serve, this pretty much leaves you with a potential SIM card issue.  Can you try the SIM in another phone to be sure.

Also, double check your APN settings are as follows:Make sure your APN settings are as follows:
