Thanks so much. That’s exactly my situation. Got it from Rogers 🙂

Rogers carried Huawei GR5 a few years ago.  The box is showing Huawei KII-L05.

Did you purchased this Huawei phone from Rogers/Fido/Chatr?

If yes, it will work with PM.

@WW29Quickest & Easiest way? Find a Telus / Koodo / Public Mobile SIM card that is already activated and just put it in the phone and test. If it works? Great.. if not you know your answer. Most cell phone stores already have a SIM card activated sitting there already.. just walk in and ask instead of going back and forth on the internet and wondering.

@WW29 that model is a bit tricky to locate.  Was it sold in Canada?  Or did you import it from China/Europe/India?

Yeah that service should really have a disclaimer that not all phones are listed.

You sure that's not KII and not K11? There might be another submodel variation somewhere too. You should be able to find all model numbers in the About phone menu area in the settings.

Public Mobile works on following frequencies:
• For 3G use (UMTS/HSPA): 850MHz/1900MHz bands
• For 4G/LTE use: 1700MHz/2100MHz bands
• For 4G/LTE use: 700 MHz band

You need to look up the specifications of your specific model to see if they are compatible.
