I'm looking to get set up for two prepaid accounts. I know just recently we missed out on a promotion. do they offer promotions very often? Is it worth trying to wait for another one?

If your looking for a special promo for PM, you can also check with ‘the mobile shop kiosks’ or other kiosks that sell PM SIM cards. They may offer additional insight.

Promotions are very frequent, both special offer plans as well as referral promos ($25 credit for you and the person who referred you) or sign up bonuses (example: free sim + account credit). If you need a plan quickly, you can pick one that looks good, then change it later in self-serve if a better deal or offer comes up.

You may want to look at receiving notifications about new postings in the Announcements area of the community (where PM always announce these promos, among other things). If you like, you can receive them by email by following this tutorial from @pm-smayer97: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/How-to-get-notified-of-ANY-Announcement-i... . Or, if you already an RSS user for other purposes or want to try out an RSS app for getting these new postings, you could check out my tutorial on that route: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/Brief-Guide-How-to-subscribe-to-a-communi...
The https://blogtrottr.com recommended by @pm-smayer97 works great. I received the alert email shortly after the following thread was started.

It really depends on your level of urgency. If you have deactivated your current carriers service than connect your PM line asap if you absolutely need a line. Otherwise you may wish to wait a few days to see if there is a better offer. That being said, there are no guarantees that waiting will be rewarded.
Looking forward to welcoming you to PM soon.
Cheers.

PM is in the middle of improving online support. The moderator response time is down to 24 - 48 hours. The recent system maintenance was after the 2 days promo. I can feel it that there may be another promo this weekend to test the last update. YMMV. Just my prediction.
Get your referral ready and keep an eye on the announcement sub-forum. Read the promo start day and promo details. Announcement is usually one day ahead of the start day. Don't activate your plan 1 day early. Find out whether the promo is online only or in-store only or both online and in-store.

Yes. They're frequent. The popular ones are free SIM/2nd term credit or $25 refer-a-friend credit for both sides.
