How know if a phone I want to purchase will work on the Public Mobile network?

Is the Motorola Moto G6 Plus Model # XT1926 fully compatible with the 3G and 4G networks?

The seller lists the following as supported network/bands.

2G - GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz ; 3G - WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100 MHz ; 4G - LTE B1(2100), B3(1800), B5(850), B7(2600), B28(700)

The Public Mobile IMEI checker is only checking if the phone is black listed. It's notoriously unreliable for band compatibility. willmyphonework.net is a way better source.

This phone (likely marketed for Asia and Europe) will work on 3G data and talk and text. Only B7 is compatible with the Telus / Public Mobile LTE bands, which makes for spotty LTE reception. You would want a minimum of B4 for good LTE access.

Go to the phone feature and type in "*#06#"

Then use that code (IMEI number) on the PublicMobile.ca check your phone compatibility feature on the main website.  That will tell you what you need to know.
