I am attempting to activate my sim card and during the activation process I've noticed that it says " If you are planning on transferring your number from Koodo or PC Mobile, please first select a new number". Is there any way to keep my current number? I'm not sure how to proceed past this page.

Hi @Matt_GS ,
If your Koodo login was under the "Monthly customer" tab below you are Postpaid.
If under "Prepaid customer" tab...well, Prepaid.

Post-paid is a hybrid of pre-paid and consumption.
Both types you pay for the upcoming month. Post-paid, you pay for services you've used in the prior month.
Pre-paid (here anyway) you pay for the upcoming month and that's it. You can't go over anything that you haven't paid for already.

@Matt_GS if you are planning to port from Koodo prepaid you have to activate with a temporary cell phone number and contact the moderators and ask them to port your number. If from Koodo postpaid, you can port at activation. To port after activation. Type " Port Request " and follow the prompts to get to one. Give them the name on the account, number to port and the Koodo account number.
There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:
Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password. Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.
- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen. The mods answer will show up there. When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.
Welcome to PM.

Hi @Matt_GS ,
Porting from Koodo:
If your switching from Koodo postpaid your can port-in your number during sim activation. Just have your Koodo account number, name on the Koodo account and Koodo number ready and enter it when choosing your number.
If it's Koodo prepaid then you need to click this link and type in “port request” to be put in touch with a Moderator. Include the Koodo info above.
