Goto settings and search for network reset.  Click on network reset to rest network settings.

Access Point Name. It's like connecting to your home router but you're connecting your phone to the cell system.

Find your phone on this list:
Officially Recognized APN Reference

If your phone isn't there maybe these might work:
APN Settings:
Name: Mobile Internet
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMS proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri,dun
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
MVNO value: 4D4F

1.  Do the simple thing first.  Enable data on your phone.  Restart your phone and let PM SIM card do it magic to setup your APN automatically.

2.  If you have a LG phone, do a network reset after changing provider before your data working again.

If your data is still not working, let us know.  We will guide your to setuo APN.

@elocstr further to @popping 's step 2, there are other manual steps such as: many Asus and Polariod phones (possibly others too) require manual APN configuration (we can point you to directions once we know what phone you have); older iPhones (3GS/4) require a special step you do over wifi to set the APN; more current iPhones need a carrier update by connecting to iTunes; etc.

@elocstr let's start with: what phone do you have?  Some require some manual steps to get data flowing, but we can help point you in the right direction once we know what you're using.

Everything else works except data? First off, some fundamental things we need to know before making suggestions:

what type of phone do you have?

in selfserve.publicmobile.ca, what plan appears under your account?

@elocstr- Did your data work in the beginning?  Have you checked to ensure that your phone is compatible with PM network for data?  Have you checked to make sure that your plan shows that you have data included (in selfe serve)?  And, have you checked your APN setting?

Please report back for additional assistance.
