Cell and Text wont work

Hello,

 

We have the 40 dollar plan with unlimited talk and text with 5gb data.. the data works fine but the cell won't make/recieve a call and not texts go through.. except imessage does work....  I have removed sim and reset... turned phone on and off.. still nothing .. any suggestion??

this was new .. we selected a number as part of the sign up process for the sim .....

Is this a new account and are you porting the number from a previous cell provider ?

Try the lost / stolen trick. Log into self serve. Click Plans & Addons. Click Lost/Stolen phone. Click Suspend service. Log out of self serve. Reboot phone. Wait 10 minutes. Log back in. Go back to the same place and say found phone. Reboot phone.

Maybe this is a last resort solution, but you could try to "jump start" your account by using the lost/stolen trick:

Log into your account, go to the 'Plans and Add-ons' tab, choose the 'Lost/Stolen Phone' tab.
Suspend your service, log out of your account and wait 5-10 minutes.
Log back into your account, report that the phone has been found.
This should reset quite a few things, and might make cell and SMS work again.

When callin out ... it says we don't have an active long distance add on.. but we are to have unlimited canada wide calling and unlimited text.. the number we are trying to call is local.
