Cannot Register Sim Card

Hi, I'm having trouble with my SIM card.

When I went to activate it, at the very last step there was no response from your server (it timed out).   Now I cannot activate it again, because it says the SIM card is invalid.  I've tried it periodically over two days. Nada.

I put the SIM card in the phone and there was a 611 message saying my account would be activated and to check my email.  No email has yet to arrive.

I cannot log into the account that was supposedly created. My email is not recognized, so I cannot even do a password reset to login.  Please help!

Problem was the phone. Had one of those Maxwest Nitro 4X that so many people here say don't work.  That was my experience.

Bought another phone (samsung-galaxy-a51), it read the SIM card fine. Will proceed with the self-registration step. Thanks!

@WarrenWilkinson check your credit card. If it was charged, insert the sim into your phone and try these 3 tricks to reset your service. You could try in order:
1.Restarting your phone. Turn it off, remove the SIM card, reinsert it, wait 5 minutes and restart it.
2.Putting your phone on aeroplane mode for 5 minutes. Take it off and restart.

3.Do a network reset and restart your phone if it doesn't automatically do so. 

 

If you get the phone to work. Then create your self service account.  

https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/ . If the phone doesnt work. Then contact the moderators and ask them to reset your service for you  and to help you to create a self service account.

  • Faster response- Get help with your account the easy way by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon. It’ll take you to relevant help articles, or if it’s something more urgent, it can help you submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Click here to get started.
  • Slower- Alternatively, you can send a private message to the Moderators by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.

Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password.  Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.

- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen.  The mods answer will show up there.  When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.
