I tried to set up call forward on Android phone. Aftger inputting the forward phone number, the message says:
Call Setting Error
Unexpected response from network
How can I fix this problem?

You probably have to contact someone at Public Mobile. It seems something is messed up with your account and preventing call forwarding. They will get it sorted out for you.

I tried the normal way. It didn't work.
Then I tried the following method:
the error message is:
Call forwarding unconditional coneection problem or invalid MMI code.

Try the codes listed here to set it up if your phone won't do it using in the settings.
These codes look like they line up with the Telus star codes so here's an explanation on what each does.

Android
Phone icon > Settings Menu >Call > More settings > Call Forwarding
