@Steelman5 , this could be an account provisioning problem.  If including 1 in front of the 10 digit number doesn't work, you should ask a moderator to check the account.  The moderator team can be reached via private message using smartforms which is initiated by clicking on the ? on the lower right corner of the webpage or try using this link. The guided process will facilitate documentation of the issue or concern and the required resolution which will be submitted to the moderator team. Refer to this announcement link for additional details on smartforms and the ticketing system for moderator team interactions. If use of smartform brings no joy, then use the following direct link to private message the moderator team. Refer to the following knowledge base article for additional information on the moderator team.

@Steelman5  Dial *611 from your phone. Does it report your account suspended? If not, are you on a limited calling plan and have you used up all your minutes? If yes, then purchase the 500 minute add-on for $5 to get up and running.

If your account is suspended then you need to access selfserve and re-activate your account.

@Steelman5   Try adding +1 in front of the number you are calling, it doesn't matter if calls are local or not.

Plus which plan are you on?  If on a the $15 plan, then you may have used up all your available minutes and should add the $5/500 mins add-on to give you extra calling when you deplete your plan mins.  The add-on doesn't expire and remaining mins will keep rolling over until completely used up.

Are you on the $15 plan? You are limited to 100 outgoing minutes. Seconds are rounded up to the closest minute. (eg. A 10 second call is rounded up to 1 minute). As well, checking your voicemail with your phone will use up outgoing minutes too. You can use another phone to check your voicemail. Dial your number and press * at the greeting.

@Steelman5  try the call with a 1 in front of the number.  Thanks.

FYI Its the second set of numbers that determine whether your number is local or not. Ie xxx yyy xxxx. Please check the CNAC website to check if your number is local or not http://www.cnac.ca/co_codes/co_code_status.htm . If it isn't you can change your number to the desired local area code once each 30 day cycle through your self service account.

Since you have Canada wide calling, just add a 1 in front of the numbers in your contact list.
