Can't connect to network

Can't connect to network.

I just transferred my services from Fido to Public mobile. I take 4.0G

data plan and activated yesterday. The cellphone works well but can't connect to network.

Re: Can't connect to network

Need more information. Did you port a number? Can you call/text in and out? Is this only a problem with the data?

Re: Can't connect to network

@Lichuan  I'm going to ask a simple question.... Do you have data enabled on your phone? It can be turned on and off.  Cheers

Re: Can't connect to network

@Lichuan  If you transfered/ ported your number from Fido, the fastest and simplest solution is to contact Telus' (owner of PM) porting team at 1-877-868-3587 to help you diagnose and fix your connection issue!

Re: Can't connect to network

@Lichuan  We can help you but you have to give us some more info. What is the make and model of your phone? Is it an LG?

If it's not an LG....

  1. Go to settings.
  2. Go to connections.
  3. Go to mobile or cellular networks.
  4. Go to network operators.
  5. Go to select automatically.

Does it select Public Mobile?  If yes reboot your phone and test to see if your data is working.

If no repeat steps 1-3. Then go to Access Point Names. (APN). Select Mobile network. sp.mb.com.

Go to the top right corner of your screen to the 3 dots and tap on it. This is your APN. Add the APN settings listed in a previous post. Do it exactly as listed. Then tap save. Return to mobile networks.

(Step 3) What is listed in the Network mode? LTE/3G/2G? If yes you should have data. Reboot your phone and test to see you have data.

If you have an LG phone you will have extra steps depending on the make and model.
