Apn settings

can't send or receive mms on MI A2 android 9

Can not see or add "+". Deleting is not possible. I am in the edit page as said before nothing can be done. When pushing the three dots i get save and discard. when pushing either one of them nothing happens.

My network mode is:lTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA.

Do you possibly have a SIM from another carrier? It might let you edit. Or do you know someone with another carrier?

How about that list of other ideas I mentioned?

Data works. I can get on to websides with mobile data on and wifi off.

But as I sad before I can not edit greyed out APN, and reset does nothing.

Not sure why it's not working if the settings are right.

Can you Add or is there a + (plus) somewhere?

Can you delete?

Does data need to be on to edit/add?

Does data need to be off to edit/add?

Do you have other choices in there?

Can you edit those?

Touch the 3 dots and Reset to Default?

What is selected for Network mode? (A8 terminology) Or Preferred Network Type? Like LTE or WCDMA or UMTS or HSDPA? Or 4G or 3G?

Try to power cycle your device and see if that helps. 

As you mentioned data should be on for MMS to work correctly.

Android Settings. Go to Network & Internet, then Mobile network, check that Mobile data is on

Check that your data connection is working correctly by opening a website on your browser

I can not change the settings they are greyed out. But what I can get from the other Messages, they are the correct settings. I still can't send and receive any mms. I have no trouble sending or receiving sms's. My data is enabled. My wife has the same problem with her android 6. We both have the same public mobile plan.

Does your data work?  Text or talk?

If you have no data on your plan, you still need to turn on data for Picture messaging to work.

My settings are correct but they are greyed out so I can't change them anyway.

What have you tried so far?  Have you entered in APN settings for Public Mobile?
