turn on /off voicemail box

I am just wondering that do we have the option of NOT using voicemail box now? I was trying to delete the phone number that will take calls to the voicemail box manually, it went back automatically. I found most voice messages in there are the phone # I marked as spam call, it won't ring but directly goes to my voicemail box, it's very annoying to take time check all the messages one by one  only find they are unwanted. Any ideas?

There is no way to turn off voicemail on PM plans.

One of the tricks to reject ALL calls going to voicemail is:

To "disable" voicemail, dial *004*8080000000#

This will cause all calls to either ring forever or get fast busy at the point they normally would have been diverted to the voicemail system.

Whenever you need to reset it back to defaults, dial #004#

Mind you, ALL calls (good and bad) will be rejected if you do not pick them up and NONE will ever end up in voicemail. Since I set this up I did not have not one single vmail. Sooooo gooood!

Another ways is:

- Dial into your voicemail and log-in with your PIN.

- In the main menu, press 3 (manage greetings),

- then 4 (manage extended absence greeting),

- then 2 (record a new extended absence greeting) and record a message that indicates to your caller you are not accepting messages.

- Then press 4 to turn on extended absence

- Finally, press 5 to disallow anyone to leave you a message. Problem solved!
