HI
I'm travelling to the states this week for 4 days and would like to have cell coverage,
Noticed there are plans that say CAN-US , does that mean they would work in both countries without the roaming fees, Can I just switch plans and switch back next week or am I stuck having to pay 15$ for the roaming?
If changing plans works , how quiclky6 do they take to be in effect? I'm leaving this coming Thursday
thanks

That's not always true. A customer can make a plan change effective at any time. However, there will be no refund for the unused portions of the old plan.

hi @Pabs69
if you don't plan on going US a lot, then don't change plan. Yes, you will need to buy roaming add-on, which might be cheaper
but what phone do you have? are you buying roaming talk/text? you have to make sure your phone is VoLTE whitelisted with PM for best success as voice is trouble in US
is your phone on this list or a newer generation of those on the list?

If you do not have it yet USA/Can/Max plan you change it NOW but you will be immediately charged for new plan.
It might (just might) be more efficient to get USA add-on for 15 days call/text.

@Pabs69 basically, if you purchase a US/CAN plan your phone will work in both countries as if you were here at home. BUT , scaling back down after the fact, to a lower plan is most likely not going to happen as PM has made this next to impossible. So perhaps purchasing a one time add-on to get the job done is your best best in the long run. It all depends on how frequently you will be travelling and the difference in your current plan VS the next level Us/can plan.
