I am going to buy a new iPhone but I still want the same number and phone plan. I have always bought my phones upfront (ie. not connected to a payment plan), so I would like to transfer my current public mobile number and plan to my new device. How do I do this? I think that I have an eSIM.

Thank you! This makes sense, except I can’t log into my account either. I’ve tried creating new passwords, and the app says I have ”succesfully created a new password” but when I use it, it says “email and password do not match”. When I try to sign into the app with my correct email and OLD password, it brings me to a portal that prompts me to sign up with public (selecting a plan, a SIM, etc). I obviously have a plan and an account already, so why can’t I sign in and access any of my info? This is the only reason I’m hesitant - would I be able to sing up again with public and select the “transfer number” option?? Because the number is already associated with public, I don’t know how this would work!
Thanks all for the help 🙂

I think you are saying that you are already a Public Mobile customer. If you have a physical SIM card in your old phone, just remove it and put it into your new phone. If you currently are using an eSIM in your old phone, then install the Public Mobile app on your new phone, log into your account and “buy” a new eSIM. It should cost $0 if you already had one.
The instructions provided by BKNS27 are for new customers who want to switch to PM from another provider.

If you have the newer iPhone then you can port your number over to PM. Check in the settings under Cellular then look for Add eSIM. If it does then your iPhone is eSIM compatible.
Follow these steps:
The steps must be followed in exact order if you are porting your number over to PM:
