some phone calls not getting through

Support calls from telus, I think maybe some from a bank, maybe regional emergency test calls, go straight to message, never ring, so I miss them.  Not all calls  just a select few. What's up?

@PM_5G oh, okay. Sometimes just the act of moving the SIM card into another phone, then moving the SIM card back into your phone can reset account/networks. So, now move the SIM card back into your phone and try that for a while, and see if that reset things. Here is hoping 🤞

I had checked every phone option and all blocking etc on my Note 9 and nothing was interfering with incoming calls - did a network reset and lost all my Wi Fi passwords and bluetooth pairs and that did nothing either.  I had too much info on the phone to fully reset it so then tried the new PM sim and a new phone and boom all phone calls came through immediately... Very strange but very true....

@grumpynotechie - your calling app can be set up to accept calls only from those you have in your contact list. Meaning, anyone that is not on your contact list would go directly to voicemail. Is this your cause? If so, remove / change that setting on your device.

You could try your SIM into another phone to rule out a device issue, helped with @PM_5G , but without confirming.

I had the same problem with Samsung Note 9 when I set up with PM. I took my PM Sim card out and installed in a new phone and all calls started to come in... I tried diagnosing but never figured it out either...

Let me know if you try out your Sim in a different phone and calls come in.

Might be due to poor connection at the time of the call.  Do you have VoLTE service yet?  That might make a difference in your call quality.

A few basic troubleshooting advice: reboot phone, network reset of phone, manually select 3G network or LTE and see whether that makes a difference.
