@Rustyhfx

call Samsung to unlock the device for you

@Rustyhfx  wipe the sim card clean once more and try to put the sim in both your own phone and your friend's phone.

If both shows no network, no sim, then It could really be a faulty sim card problem

But first open ticket with PM Support.  They will ask you to do similar troubleshoot steps, follow them.  if they also come to the conclusion that it might be faulty sim, you can ask them if they can reimburse the charge of a new sim card.

To open ticket with PM Support:

1. If you have access to My account: At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗"

@Rustyhfx

Does it still work in your old phone? Is it the correct size? Check it for any dirt or debris and you can clean it gently with a cotton swab and a little isopropyl alcohol. Make sure it fits snugly in the Sim slot of your new phone so that the contacts connect correctly.

@Rustyhfx   Did you also try your SIM in the friend's phone to see what happens?
