Unfortunately, I don't recall Public Mobile ever providing extra data usage (or any other forms of service) for any cases of severe weather. The closest I can thnk of was when Public Mobile assisted a few customers with temporary service extensions during the earlier stages of COVID-19. Hypothetically, if Public Mobile were to offer something, they wouldn't be able to reverse the usage. This is because when data runs out, the data service would simply stop working. They would have to either offer provide a set amount of extra data or stop counting the data and make it unlimited.

Speaking of the Christmas giveaways, maybe they can give an extra little bonus this year for all the rocky issues as of late, would go a long way as a good will gesture, just tossing that idea out there.

Yes, it's good to hope for.
Alas, it'll never happen at a 3rd tier provider.
Perhaps those premium users at Bell Telus and Rogers might get such perks.
We just get, ...

@Anonemoose , I am in New Brunswick (no winter storms here) & my electricity has been off for 9 hours here so far! Several without electricity for unknown, unplanned reasons! I am using data when normally it would be for “emergency only” & using it to report NB Power outage & check for updates but unfortunately got lonely in the dark so here I am on here using up data! 🤣 My fault though, not Public Mobile! My grumpy self after 9 hours of this wants electricity for food, heat & so on!
