Hello
I have an 8 year old Public mobile which I need to reactivate for about 1 month. Are there pay-as-you-go plans (prepaid) ?

Don't lose track of the fact that @popol needs service for 1 month, not coming back for good. I mention this because this is going to have an affect on what is done if the available phone is incompatible. I doubt anyone still supports CDMA now. Probably not porting a number in either.

Hi @popol
What is the make and model of the phone
Telus scraped public towers and customers were moved to Telus network, they had couple of months to get new phones for free. You may be lucky to have a phone that can use Telus network butt chances are slim. If you give us make and model we could help you figure out
For the plans, you can click on plans at the top to see all the plans they have and at the bottom you can see add-ons (have to click to expand)
We could also help you figuring out how to make it cheapest. Let us know how much you talk and how much data you think you may need and for what we may have some suggestions

Prepaid plans:
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/plans
Before Telus took over Public Mobile, PM was using CDMA phone.
1. You need a new phone which support 3G and/or LTE.
2. You need a new PM SIM card. Order a SIM card online for $5, shipping included.

Look at top of this page.."Plans" for your selection consideration.
Welcome to PM.

Right up top next to the big logo...Plans.
Edit: and what make/model phone is it? After a couple years Telus turned off older cell tech that the original Public Mobile was using.

It is from before the Telus takeover.

@popol - What is the model of your phone? If it is 8 years old, it may not be compatible anymore if it was from before the switchover to the Telus Mobility network in 2014.
At a minimum you will need a new SIM card if you have not had active service in the last 90 days.

No @popol every plan here is on a prepaid 30 day cycle. For pay as you go, the 711 speakout plan recommended by @benfatto is a good option. Stay safe.
If you do decide to come here again. Here's 4 articles on activation and porting and the Refer a friend reward if you need them:

Hi @popol
You will need a new sim card, here is a discounted one
https://canadiancellsupplies.com/products/public-sim-card?variant=31239577829465
Legit store.
It's prepaid only
Mms and incoming are unlimited
How much data and talk to you need?
After 100 included minutes in 15 plan it's 1c/minute
Most plans have unlimited talk though
Welcome back

@popol If you really want strictly pay as you go, look at speakout7eleven. Though getting started will be more expensive than getting PM's $15 plan.

No pay as you go. Just prepaid. If your 8 year old Public Mobile has been inactive for more than 90 days then it's deactivated now. You would need a new SIM and account.
