I’m using an iphone11. When I follow the steps, the only option it gives me is to reset my iPhone completely or transfer to a new phone

PM does not block hotspot , so it is more a device issue
Are you using iPhone or Android?
Start with clicking Reset All networks on Android or Reset network settings on iPhone and see if it works

I am having this issue as well. I previously had no problem at all setting up the hot spot, but it suddenly stopped working and I get the message to contact public mobile now. Have tried taking the SIM card out but it has not made. Difference. I don’t use the hot spot feature often, but it is frustrating not being able to use it when I do want it

Tried these. I really didn’t want to reset my phone. That’s the only one I didn’t try.

try to do this, if is not working is your device issue..
do one thing Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,
and take your SIM card out and waiting for a 2 minute and put it back and turn on -This one is quick and simple.
what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.
or can you do try reseat the SIM card
1. power off your device
2. take out the SIM card,
3. wipe it clean SIM card,
4. put it back and power on,
5. toggling airplane mode off/on,
and do again Rebooting your phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

@jddean @jrstamp74 some devices need to have dun in the APN type field (add to the existing one) in order to have wifi hotspot work, please try to add it to the APN string.
APN: default,supl,mms,dun

Public Mobile doesn't block hotspot and fully allows it. Unfortunately, there isn't anyting that Public Mobile can do to assist with this. This is entirely a device software issue. Where did you get your device from? Some devices that were sold by some carriers in the U.S. have the feature disabled in the phone's software.
