I had to go into setting on my phone and search for 5G and turned the 5g on to get the full speed of 5G

Try Reset All Networks and try the test in different area

I guess I just had to wait a few days because I'm getting 244 download speed today.

There is a difference between plan speed and network type. Even on a 4G plan you could still access the 5G network (and 3G network). How did you have your preferred network set on your phone before? And now? Also note that plan speeds are maximum, and not guaranteed. They are highly dependent on a number of variables including signal strength and network congestion.

I am on a 5G plan but I usually just force my phone onto 4G anyway, as I still get 5G speed, but I find that the network is more reliable. 4G towers tends to penetrate obstacles better than 5G, and is easier on the battery. If you were right beside a tower with little congestion I'd expect better results on 5G.

Long story short, even on a 4G plan you likely weren't consistently getting 100Mbps. Those are maximums. Both networks are capable of faster than the plans offer anyway (they use throttles).

No doubt in that!

I see, so, as 'fixin' mentioned, there might be some temporary congestion, maybe you can wait for a couple of days to get it all going back to what it was!
Sometimes, 4G does perform better in places, where 5G is not at its utmost level!
I am in Vancouver and I notice that with 4G, I still get 150+ and with 5G, it just goes around 200+ Mbps here, so, it depends haha

The faster my pages load in the happier I am.

@badboy1245 - For starters, your area may be currently congested with a local event, parade, or concert occurring.

London Ontario, but I was getting 100 download speed on 4g

WOW! WHY do you need so much speed if I may ask?

Hey,
Where do you live, if I may ask? It depends from place to place
