@georayduc

Are you running Android 8 or 9? The inability to edit your APN is from the OS. If you can update to Android 10 it eliminates the problem. If not then a freedom or a roam sim card will allow you to edit the APN. If you dont have access to either of those SIM cards the contacting customer support and asking for a configuration file with the APN to be texted to your phone is your only other option. You may get a newbie CSA that doesn't understand what you are asking for....if that's the case ask for them to consult a senior colleague for the file such as Silvio or Carlos.

@georayduc  You may need to get a Freedom sim if you know someone that has to be able to edit the APN settings. These type of phones people had success using a freedom sim. Otherwise like @Anonymous  said ask Public Mobile support maybe they can push the APN settings to you via a file.

 @georayduc : This is a known problem with some phones with some providers. This provider is one with some phones. You'll get it. Just have to use some workarounds.

It's even possible that one or more of the CSA's could push a file to you via text that auto-installs the settings.

@Anonymous  Thanks.

@georayduc Sorry I seen your APN settings now.

After looking at them try changing these below to what it says in my screenshot. Leave the rest of your settings as is. Save reboot phone then try MMS.

 @BeachNBeer : Already done.

 @georayduc : Any news on that MVNO value? Did you try those other variations I gave you? If things aren't saving, I wonder if you might be able to get a used Freedom SIM and try to create and save settings and then put the PM SIM back in.

A thing I played with for no need was to delete shown APN's which then caused a bunch of other APN's to appear which I then deleted. Then I started from scratch.

@georayduc  - have a look at this site for troubleshooting.

 @georayduc : What do you have for MVNO value?

Another variation is:

MMS proxy = mmscproxy.mobility.ca

MMS port = 8799

@georayduc

Edit your MMS type to what is listed in my post and test to see if you can send an MMS.

Edit:

default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri

You may have to also add "dun" to the end.

@georayduc

Have you tried completely disabling all chat options within messaging or Google messaging apps?

I've found that those chat features, similar to iMessage with iPhone, can sometimes be problematic when used in conjunction with MMS.

EDIT:

 Chat messages options.

  1. tap Messaging app,
  2. tap 3 little dots top right,
  3. select Settings,
  4. under Chat settings, scroll to "Select default messaging type",
  5. toggle it to Automatic or Text/multimedia msg

 @georayduc : Are you able to browse the internet with cell data on, wifi off? Maybe post screenshots of your current APN settings. Did you save each change of them and restart the phone?

@georayduc

Can you use mobile data? Or is just your MMS affected. Post a screenshot of your APN settings to see if you are missing something.....
