Hello; new subscriber here. I had a account with Telus for years, but ended up cancelling a couple years ago when I was provided a free work phone. Recently I decided to get a new personal phone and was hoping to use my old number from Telus. I installed the sim card out of the old phone and put it in the new phone, then subscribed to PM requesting the number transfer from the old Telus account. The old number was not assigned, so I thought it would be available for my new phone. Because the old phone is not active, I am not getting a text from Telus to authorize the transfer. As well, PM wants to verify my subscription, but they are sending the confirmation to the same inactive number. Anyone know a way to get that old number working on my new subscription?
Thanks all.

Sorry @rw44 , you cannot transfer a number that is not currently owned by you and not active. And sound like you lost that number for long time, so, there is really nothing you can do but you get a new phone number
since you setup wrong with "Transfer old number", you will have to ask PM support agent to help and fix it. You can do so submit ticket by direct message:
