Today my phone sent me a notification of " No Service." It is only 3G. Service was out for approximately 15 minutes and then returned. This has happened twice today. I've had the phone for a year or so with no other connection issues before today. Maintenance being conducted by Telus? Anyone know about this?

I had no connection at about 6:15 pm and I couldn't send texts on my moto phone. Rebooted and it was fine. No problem sending texts on my A320.

@goodoaks wrote:@hTideGnow it appears that Public is already saved under preferred Network. Roaming is also off as I live on Vancouver Island and we are close to American cell towers. It seems that every time Public/Telus service drops then my phone attempts to find any available network. Ty tho 🙂 Does anyone know what's going on with Telus?
@goodoaks Make sure you Disable Choose Automatic, something like this:

HI @goodoaks because of your location, reboot won't help. You have to lock your provider to Public Mobile so it won't bounce. Please check my steps above

I received the message too about 20 minutes ago regarding no service. I did a reboot and that solved my issue.

HI @goodoaks
Android:
From the front screen, tap Apps.
Choose Settings.
Choose Mobile Networks (if your device is running Android Lollipop, you will need to choose More Networks, then Mobile Networks)
Choose Network Operators.
Choose the Network you would like to connect to

Hi @goodoaks What kind of phone do you have? iPhone? Android? what brand/
03-28-2022 09:54 PM
Sure, how can I update my settings? Thank you 🙂

Hi @goodoaks I suggest you to change your Network provider form Automatic to Manual and Manually select Public Mobile. I could help you to lock to PM network and you won't get stolen into TMobile where the signal might be stronger

Same on Vancouver Island

Same here! It's doing it as we speak... I get "no service" to "T-Mobile" to "Telus" then back to "Public Mobile" followed by a text from Public welcoming me to the States. I hope this clears up soon it's been going on all day 😞

Next time it happens, check the TELUS outage map.

HI @sbreimer1 are you in the same area all along? I wouldn't concern it much if it is one off
And you said "It is only 3G", did yo set your network to Automatic so it will switch between LTE and 3G?
If it happens again, check your PM service on another phone as it could be your phone as well instead of the network
