looking to call area code 562 in long beach... which add on do I use?

Hello,

Was going to pick an add on but say this message and got confused!!

There is this blurrb about:

Calls made to numbers starting with the following six digit combinations are not included in U.S. Roaming talk Add-Ons or U.S. calling from Canada and will not be completed when dialled: 712-432, 605-562, 641-552, 605-475, 605-477, 712-775, 559-726.

So do I need:

200 min US and Canada Long Distance or

US Roaming - Unlimited Talk (10-day) ???

This part of the site really needs some updates to make it less confusing.

So I bought the 200 min US and Canada Long Distance and calls go through now.

Just to let you know.

Also I read the difference about Roaming... which is calling while in the USA.

You need 200 or 400 minute long distance add-on (not 500 minute long distance add-on, not any roaming add-on). $50 or $60 plan had unlimited calls to U.S.

You could also try using apps like Fongo or Skype.

Area code 562 is not included in exclusion list

I though the second set of numbers were just leading call number digits

The 200 min should work in that case

But i would highly suggest textNow, they give you free Canadian number and unlimited minutes to usa and Canada

If just calling out is needed, install the google hangouts/hangouts dialer app and make the call.  It is free to US and Canada numbers.  Of course, I did test before posting.  Called a local McDonald's in Long Beach.

605-562  means a number such as 605-562-XXXX.

605 is the area code and 562 is the exchange.

605 is the area code for South Dakota.

Calls to Long Beach area codes are NOT restricted, so you should have no problem calling them.

I think that 605-562 means area code 605 with a phone number starting with 562-xxxx is not supported.

PS...I just tried calling a couple of 562 area codes and the calls do go through.

If you are in Canada right now and wanting to call USA, you will need to buy the $8 for 200 US/Canada minutes add on.  

If you are in the United States, then you will need to buy one of the 10 days US roaming add ons.  

Area 562 is not one of the restricted numbers that Public mobile plans can't call.

@3glifer You can download a free calling app, TextNow. As long as you have access to internet, you can make call to North America for FREE.
