Same for my computer at work. Every night I do a restart, mainly because IT wants access to roll out software or update after hours. If I stayed logged in or locked, I’d be restarting in the morning, and waiting for my PC to start everyday some weeks.
Hmmm... I should bring a newspaper the next time I forget to restart the night before.

@shskr that's a more radical approach but yes you'd be starting fresh every day. My cell is my only way to contact me (no home phone) so I need to be reachable in an emergency, so this doesn't work too well for my needs--but I understand that some people do this! (Have an elderly mother that lives nearby, for example.)

Or shut the phone every night and turn on every morning. Works for me!

@sandort @Arcel the old help-desk standby: REBOOT!
In all seriousness: if you don't already, I'd try to make a habit of rebooting your phone at least once a week (how about when you go to bed every Sunday night? Or when you get up every Monday morning?). Doing this can help prevent issues like this from croping up, rather than waiting for them to occur and then dealing with it.
EDIT: actually this was a good reminder that I was overdue for a preventative reboot. DONE!

all worked just fine until some point Monday afternoon. its been 2.5 days of not receiving text message replies.
@sandort Login into selfserve and check your usage history. Do you see any incoming texts in the logs. If yes, then the problem is with your phone. If not, then you may want to do a soft reset of your account by trying the lost/stolen phone trick:
To report your phone stolen. Login to your selfserve account. Choose Plans and Add-ons tab. Choose the Lost/Stolen Phone tab. Choose Suspend Service tab. Wait a few minutes. Report your phone found. Re-start you phone

Try to restart your phone to reset everything.

Is this from anyone or just one person wondering why you haven't replied? Maybe you somehow blocked them.

@sandort Are you on a unlimited text plan?
There are no limited incoming text plans.
@Anonymous Noted. @sandort What plan are you on?

Do other plan services work as expected?
06-19-2019 02:18 PM
@sandortCan you check your usage logs? That would be a good place to start to narrow down where the fault happened.
