Buy a new sim.
Remove the hold.
Then go change sim.
Then put new sim in phone.

Are you a current PM customer?
If you are then login to your account and change the SIM card number.

If you are not a customer then you need to contact your previous carrier to suspended your number.

@Spaz if you are transferring from PM to another Koodo or Telus, it is easier, you can call them and they can arrange with PM

If you are transferring elsewhere, generally, you have to get a new PM sim card again , tie the sim card to the account, reactivate the account and then start the transfer from the new provider again

I am not sure if PM allows a verbal approval for porting, I doubt it

You can get a new PM sim card from:
