I recently  have a problem with downloading messages. It says: failed to download attachment from multimedia message and it does not download pictures.

Also check see if MMS Messaging is enabled in Massage app settings.

@Heidekraut Please ensure you have Data turned on from settings. MMS messages can't be downloaded without data.
