I have been unable to make or receive calls since yesterday. I haven't changed location and have 1 bar.

@Sandee how long have you been a customer with working services before yesterday?
In addition to other suggestions, try:
*go into airplane mode, then going back to regular mode
*perform a reset network settings on your device
*try your SIM card into another compatible phone...this could rule out a device issue/setting.
*if you cannot send/receive texts or use data, check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

HI @Sandee Try to reseat your sim card with the phone powered off
Also, try changing to 3G Only (some phones call it WCDMA Only or HSPA Only) to see if the phone connect to the network at all at 3G
Also, try to use your phone at a different location, that can tell if it is a network issue at where you are now
