Hi, i'm thinking of signing up with Public mobile. I have a few questions.
-If I want us data roaming for a weekend trip, can i add it on as a one time deal and how do I make sure i don't get charged every month?
-If i'm with Public Mobile for a few months and decide I'm not happy, can I port the number to another provider?

Another thing is if you travel other than US, there is no roaming in public mobile.
Otherwise its about the same as most big brand cell service.

Hi @msmski,
1) US Roaming add-ons are are completely separate from your plan and plan cycle. You can buy them at any time, and they start working immediately (they cannot be future-dated). The day on which you purchase them is considered day 1, no matter what time of day you make the purchase. At the end (midnight eastern time zone) of the 10th day, they expire. They do not automatically renew and you will not be charged for them again unless you explicitly purchase again.
2) Yes--like with any Canadian cell provider you can port your number out at any time. Do note that you will not get any refund whatsoever. You pre-pay for 30 (or 90 if you choose a 90 day plan) days of service, and if you cancel (by porting out) at any time during that 30 (or 90) days, whether it's on day 1 or day 30 (or 90), you will get zero pro-rated refund for any unused days within that cycle.
