You should still try to use the 1 year warranty to get the phone fixed or replaced.
Ironically, and despite different information that is provided by Public Mobile, the Telus warranty start and end date (assuming of course that the phone wasn't non-functional uponarrival) is based entirely on when a Telus, Koodo, or Public Mobile service is used on the phone. I can't say for sure if the warranty gets activated (started) if different carrier's SIM card gets used. Anyone wishing to check the Telus warranty status can do so by going to https://www.telus.com/en/mobility/services/warranty-lookup.

If you cannot receive a refund it has a one year warranty. Go here for more details:

To get a refund, you'll have to reach out to a Customer Support Agent by using the Chat Bot Simon to get a service ticket started first.

I’m trying to get a refund for the phone. The sim does not read. I have to re started the phone every day.
public mobile will not refund me because I missed the 30 days. But I only activated this phone on Dec 26.
The 30 days should be the start of the activation! Please help!

I did . Still not working .

Check both the Sim card slot and the Sim card for dirt or debris. Gently clean with q-tip dampened with isopropyl alcohol....or vodka in a pinch. It's a tight fit for the Sim card so check that there is no loose hardware in and around the slot. Try testing another Sim card too as that will determine if it's a hardware or Sim card issue.

You should probably get in contact with a Customer Support Agent from Public Mobile and have them look into your sim card and provisions for it.
Use the Chat Bot Simon to get a service ticket started first.
Of you have trouble using the Chat Bot Simon, you can send a private message to CS_Agent to get help too.
