Voice, Text, attachments, and Data will all work.
Doesn't support all Telus bands so you won't get great service in all areas (where base stations use lower-frequency directional coverage) and you won't get great 4G speeds (because fewer bands equals lower overall bandwidth). Not a big deal if you're in an urban area with dense coverage because you'll get handed off to whatever towers are available. Not an issue if you have a "3G"plan because it's actually capped 4G with a fairly constant data rate.
Your phone software might impose sucky limitations, however. The only ways to find out are product reviews or actual first-hand usage.

The 3G will be fine. The 4G LTE is a little light.
