Will a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G SM-G990W

Can anyone please tell me if a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G SM-G990W will definitely work on PM's VoLTE network?

After eight years with Public, I'm trying to replace my rugged S5 as 3G is evidently being retired and I now cannot determine the IMEI unless I buy the phone first (Which is utterly idiotic). Unfortunately,  PM has now helpfully taken down their so-called truncated white list and as far as I can remember the Galaxy S21 FE 5G SM-G990W was on it.

Thanks

UPDATE Later. I did buy the phone and the seller texted me the IMEI after I purchased and the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G SM-G990W does indeed work on Public Mobile Network.

Thanks to all those who provided input. Much appreciated.

Thanks, appreciate your response. Cheers!

@pagurus

I found this list from Public Mobile whitelist of VoLTE enabled cells...yours should work just fine...

  • Samsung S23 (AVK2 & above)
  • Samsung S22/S22+/S22 Ultra (CWAI & above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 & Fold4 (CWAC & above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G & Fold3 5G (FWB1 & above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G (HWB1 & above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G (JWB5 & above)
  • Samsung Note20 5G/Ultra 5G (HWB3& above)
  • Samsung A53 5G (CWB4 & above)
  • Samsung S21 FE 5G (EWB3 & above)

OK thanks. I'll order it.  The S-5 needs replacing anyway as the camera software won't update and only works is if I text a photo to myself within 10 seconds - otherwise it saves a grey image. 🙂

Thanks, Sansan! Well, I may have to gamble on the phone as I am 95% certain the Galaxy S21 FE 5G SM-G990W was indeed on that list. Think it was the oldest Samsung listed. Should have copied the list to my harddrive when I had the chance... I know my Galaxy S2O Ultra 5G works and its IMEI was accepted - and it was not on the list...

They are changing things by the minute here so it's hard to guarantee anything.

However, I belive s21 should work.

I have the S20 FE. I used the IMEI checker and it showed my phone as VoLTE enabled.

The problem though is that even if it's VoLTE enabled,  if PM doesn't approve,  it won't work. Since they removed the list, no way to tell what they approve or not anymore.

Thanks but if you actually follow that link you will find the PM helpfully removed the "white list" from it last week. Only the IMEI check box remains.

@pagurus

my son lives in Alberta and uses that new cellphone. It has VoLTE function working as expected.
