Will I receive text messages while in turkey?

Hey I'm planing on going to turkey for a week, and was wondering if my phone will work while I'm down there, or at least be able to receive text messages. Or if there is any roaming plans for it. I have a Canadian number

No it will not.  No roaming in Europe. 

Some have said they received,  but definitely cannot send.
