What is the easiest way to identify the latest posts on this forum?

pm-smayer97

I'm trying to see if there is a workflow that can work for me. My ideal is to be able to identify the latest posts, sorted by oldest to newest as of a particular date, and even filtered by or grouped by Community forum area.

Any tips?

Clicking on "Latest Topics" or "Latest Posts" will bring up all of those.

So bottom line is that there is no good solution and it is just a PITB...

So no easy way to sort, filter or get notifications filtered to desired topics, threads, etc.  You cannot even subsribe to a DIscussion area; you can only subscribe to a specific thread.

Not user friendly...too hard to stay focused on areas of interest... forum needs lots of work!

I make sure i’m Going forum by forum, looking at the bolded threads, as the have the latest unread posts and/ or replies.

So, Discusions is a very active forum, so I will open that in a new browser tab, then start at the top, again looking for bold topics.  Please note, some topics are floated to the top as important for the forum, or you’ve floated it yourself in some cases.

once I read all the threads that have new posts in them, I close each one by one, and then close the first read forum, the open the next forum in bold in a new tab.

took a bit of getting used to, and sometimes I miss it, and need to go hunt again.

@pm-smayer97  I use https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/thread/category-id/P... as well.

It sorts all the threads by most recent posts. Which is a good way to determine if a particular thread is either new or has an active discussion.

You can get to it from the homepage publicmobile.ca > Community > Latest Topics

So how did you get to this place? It's a step in the right direction.

Ok, so for example, how did all of you identify this thread as a new one to respond to?

@NDesai, I liked the old webpage we had last year at this time.  It was easier to see new posts in other areas.  I can't remember it exactly how it was I just know I was missing the way it was setup after we switched

I wish they did/do some work on that to combine the same topics together.

@Luddite If that link you included in your post is copied from a search result, we cannot get to that search result. It just redirects us to the community home page.

OK found a place to start. Search for news feeds from here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Public-Mobile-Community/ct-p/Public_Mobile_Community

and select "All Board Posts". My Opera browser shows the link when I hover but I cannot copy it. Robot Frustrated

Agreed. It's a PITA OP

This is simply not possible. Even if it was possible, chances are that you probably missed/not read thousand posts from years ago and they would be the first on your filtered list. I haven't seen/used a filter that allows you to see posts from selected date.

Not currently possible; suggested in the Lab. Some browsers allow an "rss" feed based on an address I cannot find; @srlawren maybe??
