What do I need to assure call, text, roam for trip to Thailand?

Those bonus minutes are for call from Canada not while in Thailand.

You can use WhatsApp or Fongo app while on wifi in Thailand.

Public Mobile only works in Canada, the US and Mexico. The only option you have is to purchase an eSIM from the following place and use it there. https://www.airalo.com/thailand-esim

All those won't apply

PM has no roaming services other than US and Mexico, so you won't be able to use your PM service there.  

You need local data sim or travel esim like Airalo. And download VoIP app Textnow to make and receive calls
