Voice mail from United States.

Hello all,

I am currently in Las Vegas and am trying to access my voicemail. Using the normal method of clicking the voicemail icon on my iPhone 7+ gets me a busy signal. Trying to call into my own number gets me a busy signal.

Anyone have any solution to this strange occurrence?

Wow. That's strange.

I have no idea why that would happen.

So as an update to this issue. It seems as though AT&T was the issue. Mary_K checked everything on her end and I tried a few things on my end. The one thing that seemed to work was by choosing the carrier manually. By selecting T-Mobile instead of AT&T the voicemail worked fine.

If if you are having issues, try changing the carrier. Worked for me.

Can you please send me your phone number via private message? I'll look into it for you 🙂 @diverman

That's part of the problem @Mary_M I have tried to do exactly as you say by rejecting the call and having it go to voicemail. It doesn't go to voice mail. I have used my wife's phone to call in and after rejecting it doesn't go to voicemail at all. It is as if I don't have voicemail on my account.

Hey @diveman,

Here's another way to check your VM! Try calling your number from another phone, and reject the call. Once you hear your voicemail, simply press the star key (*) and enter your password - you will be able to access your voicemail 🙂

I hope this helps,

Mary

Tried the Fongo route and calling from my wife's phone and no luck. The call didn't even go to voicemail. It just rang and ran until it timed out.

Must be an issue with my voice mail.

@will13am: I'm with you....

@diveman: I suggest Fongo, it works and it will have use for you even when you're not in the States.

Have fun in Vegas and bring some hot weather back with you!!!

@diveman, how about trying this workaround while you wait for moderator help.  Use a data app to call your phone number and let the call go to voice mail.  From there, enter the menu system to check for voice messages.

I have the US text/Talk/250 plus 1gb add on. All is working well be when I try to access voicemail I just get a busy signal.

@diveman you need to have roaming minutes on Public SIM or a US SIM to access voice mail
