Hearing that Public Mobile has "No Customer Support" is a big misconception.

 

After my earlier experience, of a failed activation (with the money being charged) the Moderator team was able to resolve my issue within 2 hours.

 

That is exceptional service for any company! Not to mention the support of the community messaging a few minutes after I posted.

 

I had a quick question regarding my Display Name, is there a way to change it? Or is it as is? I'm looking to participate and contribute as much as I can to the community (being the newbie that I am) and would love to be able to change my name. Can't seem to find it in the settings.

Definitely quite a bit to get used to, but overall really loving the Community system of Public Mobilc

@wealthfitzyou and to add, once the mods have changed your display name they will send you a reset password link in your email. make sure to use the link or you won't be able to login.

If you go the route of new community account,make  sure the email address in the new account is the same one you used when setting up your selfserve account (self serve account and selfserve user name are two seperate things) else you will not receive comunity rewards. 

 

Or change your current community account email to something new then create the new community account.

SIMon is wrong. Moderators can definitely change your Comnunity username for you.  However, it would probably be faster to open a new Conmunity account since you just started out.

Looks like I spoke too soon, SIMon says that there is no Community Name change possible.

 

I will try to talk to a moderator still.

@wealthfitzyou contact the moderators give them the name that you would like to change it to and ask them to change it for you. There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:

  • Faster response- Get help with your account the easy way by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon. It’ll take you to relevant help articles, or if it’s something more urgent, it can help you submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Click here to get started.
  • Slower- Alternatively, you can send a private message to the Moderators by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.

Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password.  Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.

- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen.  The mods answer will show up there.  When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.

@wealthfitzyou hi the only way is to contact a moderator  click on the ? Bottom right hand corner Ask Simon to speak to a human this will help create a ticket to speak to a moderator      check the envelope top right corner for a reply response time is 2 to 48 hours
