To expand on the subject line: I called two PM customers (me being one of them) from my VOIP (magicJack) and neither phone rang. I called two Koodo customers and one legitimate Bell Canada landline from my VOIP and those 3 phones rang fine. What I've done so far: (1) Reset the VOIP, (2) Swapped in a known good 2.1v adapter for the VOIP, (3) Rest modem - powering off then back on, (4) Rebooted my Moto G 5G 2023, (5) Switched to LTE on my phone. I'm receiving calls and texts on my Moto perfectly and normally from all other sources.
None of the above 5 steps I took did anything. When I try calling my PM number from my VOIP number my cell phone does not ring. Baffling, isn't it. Any suggestions, opinions or ideas so that I can get my Moto ringing from my VOIP when I'm trying to locate where around the house I left it. TIA

I just found the issue this morning and it was entirely my fault/mistake. My apologizes to all that helped and offered suggestions. I have both my Public Mobile and magicJack numbers in my newer cellphone's contact list under my name. On a lark I decided to check my name in my contact list. Well, when I changed/edited my VoIP's phone number I also checked it as "Blocked" and totally forgot I did that. Once unblocked it rang just fine. I also apologized to the good people at magicJack for all the time they devoted to this.

we are just customers here, have you open ticket with PM support yet?
Simply open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA code when login, use email to receive code instead of SMS if you cannot receive the text on the phone.) When open Chatbot ticket, Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen
But if you have trouble using Chatbot to open ticket, then message PM using this link:

PM will reply to your community inbox, between 9AM-10PM EST (Mon-Sun), check here:

@PM_5G Sorry for the delay, had a few issues. (1) I called a Koodo from my VoIP, all good. (2) Had another known magicJack (VoIP), like mine, call my newer phone [Moto g 5G - 2023, Android 14] and it rang fine. (3) Moved SIM into my older phone [Moto g(7) Play, Android 10] , phone rang calling from my VoIP. (4) Put SIM back into my newer phone and still the same issue; not ringing, going straight to voicemail when calling from my VoIP. What's going on here???

Please also try per call block with a *67 and then dial your number from originating VOIP number to your PM number - see if it rings on your end... my guess is it will...
Please post your results with swapping SIM into another phone and using Call Block as I want to help PM fix this issue once and for all...
If you can't tell I have done extensive testing from multiple lines to figure out what the issue may be...
Also confirmed that copper lines on Telus ring through to PM line no problem it is just Telus VOIP on Fiber that does not ring on PM side and goes to VM

Thanks @PM_5G for chiming in. It's reassuring that I'm not crazy and it's happening to someone else. If I get around to swapping my SIM back into my old Moto G7 Play I'll report on that. I don't recall ever having a problem "ringing" that old phone from my VoIP though.

Samsung Note 8 and Note 9 VOIP issue as well
Physical SIM Card
I also have this lingering issue - VOIP numbers do not ring through to my number....
Caller calls out - rings on their end but not on mine..... caller goes to my VoiceMail unless they leave a massage I do not know they have called!
The funny part is this is happening from Telus Home Phone Fiber VOIP line - 2 different lines....
If *67 is dialed before my number to do a per call block calls go through without issue.
No blocking on my phone even switched to another Factory Reset Note 8 and still same issue...
Put My SIM card in Note 20 and all incoming calls ring through with no problem....
This is a phone specific issue with PM and in this case an LTE non 5G Phone...
Anyone with further advice or info please let me know....
Thanks in advance!

(6) Turned off WiFi, no difference.
Perhaps these points should have been mentioned. My plan is the 24/mth, 4gig one. I’m in Canada, my VoIP is a US number. My Moto goes straight to voicemail, doesn’t ring. I can leave a message and play it back. The other PM customer’s phone doesn’t have voicemail, he’s no help with that.

Spam filters are off. I get calls from everyone except the 55 in my blocked list. My phone doesn’t have a whitelisting feature.

I’ve been a PM customer since Feb. 2024.

Some phones have built-in spam filter which will prevent unknown numbers from going through. Try whitelisting the void number on your phone.

hi @Bacsi
did you just activate this PM account? It will take as many as 3 to 7 days for VoIP lines to know you ported the line and able to call you. This couple days delay is normal for all lines after porting , and it is more a problem with the VoIP side
