Hi. I'm thinking of switching from Koodo to a PublicMobile Canada/US Plan ($39 for 60GB, unlimited everything else, etc.). Can I get confirmation that the price remains fixed for as long as I pay my monthly bill (i.e., no disappearing credits, no unexpected fees or other "adjustments")?
(One thing I've really liked about Koodo is that my plan price has NEVER increased on me. I've switched between plans with different prices over the years, but that's an entirely different story.)
Also, are there any additional fees of any kind when using this plan while in the U.S.?
Thank you very much for your help. 🙂

Well, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for the Canada/US plan. Fingers crossed that all goes smoothly and I don't regret leaving Koodo. 🤞🙂

Thanks for the reply. That sounds pretty grim, definitely something to consider.

@eljayottawa No additional fees in the US, with Public Mobile things either work or they don't, there are no extra charges. You do need to have a VoLTE phone for voice calls in the US to work properly but it's not a problem in Canada as well still have a 3G network here. So far the cost of my PM service has actually gone down if one consideres the lower priced deals than when I first joined. I started after the switch from rewards to public points so not affected by the dropping of rewards which will cause some longer time subscribers to lose some benefits.

This is not a good time to join Public Mobile, lol.
They're about to get very busy, very overworked, while they process a horde of angry customer complaints. So if (for whatever reason) your activation or your number port hits a snag then your urgent problem will be stuck in line behind thousands of others.
And Public Mobile doesn't have any compelling promos running right now, anyhow. Better to join when you can score a great deal.

Thanks for the reply. 🙂 I'm aware of the Koodo promo plans, but they do mention up-front that there's a temporary credit that expires at some point. I've been with Koodo for about 7 years and not once did they ever raise the price of a plan I was subscribed to. So I'm hoping that that's the case with PublicMobile's plans which don't indicate any short-term credit discount.
